We arrived Friday night with our brand new PopUp trailer. It was cloudy, so
I decided not to set up the 8" Meade LX200 Gps . Saturday, started out
partly cloudy, but it cleared up by observing time. John and Maria Clifton
were the first to arrive in the afternoon, soon thereafter, Jim Kimball
arrived. As everyone were setting up scopes, I decided to do the same.
Took out the scope, tripod and noticed something missing. No auto focuser,
diagonal, key pad or anything to run that scope. It was obvious that
rushing to arrive on Friday, I forgot half of the stuff. Well, I put my
head down in shame and packed the scope back in the truck.
Then, appears Mr. Kimball. Does someone need a diagonal? Maybe a focuser
and a key pad too?? Well, I was back in business setting up everything
again thanks to Mr. Kimball. (Thank you Jim). The evening went rather
well with lots of viewing and imaging done by John and Jim. Kye Ewing
(our hostess) observed with us throughout the night with a guest from
Archbold preserve.
The following astrophotos are from John Clifton and a morning picture
(also taken also by John) of my acreage next door.
